“Making a Case for Advocacy”

Jeff Little, Pharm.D., M.P.H., BCPS, FACHE, FASHP

Jeffrey D. Little, Pharm.D, MPH, BCPS, FACHE, FASHP is Director of Pharmacy at Saint Luke’s Hospital in Kansas City, Missouri. He also serves as Residency Program Director for the Health-System Pharmacy Administration and Leadership residency program. Prior to his time at Saint Luke’s, he was Assistant Director of Pharmacy for Acute Care Pharmacy Services at Children’s Mercy Hospitals and Clinics in Kansas City, Missouri. Little received his Doctor of Pharmacy from the University of Kansas School of Pharmacy and his Master of Public Health from the University of Pittsburgh. He completed a combined PGY1/PGY2 Health-System Pharmacy Administration residency at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center.

Little currently serves on the ASHP Foundation Research Advisory Council. His prior involvement with ASHP includes being a past Chair of the ASHP Section of Pharmacy Practice Leaders, a past Chair of the ASHP Council on Public Policy, and a past Chair of the ASHP PAC and Advocacy Advisory Committee. He is a past president for the Kansas Council of Health-System Pharmacy (KCHP).

He has authored numerous articles and multiple chapters on pharmacy leadership, pharmacy operations, and various pharmacy advocacy topics. He has presented on leadership, advocacy, and pharmacy practice advancement topics at the state and national level.

Little received the ASHP New Practitioners Forum Distinguished Service Award in 2013 and was the KCHP Pharmacist of the Year in 2020.

David Rubin, MD, MCSE

Start the day with the refreshing words of our EVP for UC Health.  Dr. Rubin will share his early insights from his whirlwind tour of all of the UC campuses and how pharmacy will be incorporated into his new Health System Strategic Plan.  Originally a graduate of UCSF, Dr. Rubin continued his career at the Children's Hospital of Philidelphia and the University of Pennsylvania prior to joining UC as the new EVP for UC Health.  A huge proponent of patient access and quality of care, Dr. Rubin endorses the quintuple aim of health care and encourages research and the training of the next generation of health care practitioners.  Please join us for this unique opportunity to hear first hand about the future direction of UC Health.

Join the Pharmacy Chiefs for an exclusive dinner program moderated by UC Health Chief Pharmacy Officer, Cedric Terrell, Pharm.D..
